Because it helps reduce persistent, excessive worry and overwhelming anxiety, Buspirone (Buspar) is primarily used to treat generalized anxiety disorder (GAD).
It helps relieve symptoms like restlessness, fatigue, difficulty concentrating, irritability, muscle tension, and sleep disturbances.
For that reason, it sometimes may also be prescribed for other anxiety-related conditions as well, helping a variety of patients manage daily activities and improve overall well-being.
