Because it targets the chemical imbalances in the brain that impact feelings and behaviors, Escitalopram is primarily used to treat those with major depressive disorder (MDD) and generalized anxiety disorder (GAD).
Taking Escitalopram may reduce many depression or anxiety symptoms.
It can also be an ‘off-label’ option for those with OCD, certain eating disorders, panic disorder, PTSD, and premenstrual dysphoric disorder (PMDD).
