By default, Cerebral will provide the convenience of delivering your prescribed medication(s) directly to your door through our partner pharmacy. However, we understand that there may be situations where it is more convenient for you to have your prescription sent to your local pharmacy for pick-up. If this is your preference, you can request to switch to your local pharmacy during your Care Team sessions or by sending us a message from your client account.
When requesting to have your prescription sent to your local pharmacy, please ensure that you provide us with the name and address of your preferred local pharmacy.
It's important to note that Cerebral does not cover the cost of medications picked up from your local pharmacy. In some instances, the costs for medications from local pharmacies may be higher compared to the prescriptions sent through our partner pharmacy. If you have concerns about the cost of your medication, it's worth considering that pricing can vary between different pharmacies. Larger chains such as CVS, Walgreens, and Rite Aid generally have higher prices, while Walmart's pharmacy tends to be more affordable. Additionally, if you are not using insurance to pick up your medication, you can utilize free coupons offered by GoodRx to potentially reduce the cost of listed medications. GoodRx coupons have been known to significantly lower prescription costs, sometimes by up to 90%.
