Monthly membership fee
Clients who use insurance will pay a $30/month membership fee to help us maintain the quality and availability of our services. This fee is separate from any medication or out-of-pocket costs you may owe after a session, but is HSA and FSA eligible.
This fee helps support:
- Technology
The maintenance and operation of the digital tools our clients, therapists, and prescribers use to schedule and conduct sessions, manage prescriptions, and communicate with each other.
- Clinician training
The resources and ongoing training that help our therapists and prescribers maintain their skills and give high quality care to every client.
- Client support:
Our client support team that answers questions, helps troubleshoot technical issues, and assists with billing and payments.
Copays, coinsurance, and deductibles
Clients who use insurance may owe some out-of-pocket costs after we bill their insurance providers after each session, depending on their coverage.
These costs may be related to any of the following:
- Copay: A fixed amount you pay for each visit, determined by your insurance plan, regardless of the total cost of the visit.
- Coinsurance: A percentage of the total cost of a visit you may be responsible for after your deductible has been met and your insurance has been applied.
- Deductible: The amount you must pay out of pocket before your insurance begins to cover services.
What you may owe out-of-pocket is determined by your insurance plan. Check your benefits to understand what is covered and what you may owe out of pocket.
Example of how these costs work together
Here’s an example of what a person with insurance who meets with a therapist 3x per week may owe after services.
Monthly membership: $30/month
All insured clients pay this monthly fee, which is not billed to insurance providers
Therapy: $150/session
We bill the insurance provider for the full cost of each session
Copay: $30/session
This person’s insurance plan requires them to pay a flat $30 copay per session for therapy
Deductible: $0
This person has met their deductible
Coinsurance: $0
This person’s plan does not include a coinsurance percentage
Monthly breakdown:
3 therapy sessions x $30 copay per session = $90
Monthly membership fee = $30
Total monthly out-of-pocket cost for this client: $120
This is just one example of how insurance works for some plans. If you have a deductible, you may owe the full cost of each session until your deductible is met.
We’ll let you know what you owe after we bill your insurance provider 7 days before we charge the payment method on file. We accept HSA and FSA cards as payment.
What you may owe out-of-pocket is determined by your insurance plan. Check your benefits to understand what is covered and what you may owe out of pocket.
