The number and frequency of sessions you can have with your Care Team members depend on the specific plan you have with Cerebral. Here's an overview of the session allotments:
Prescribers
If medication management is included in your plan, you will have a Prescriber as part of your Care Team. Typically, one session with your Prescriber is scheduled per monthly billing cycle to discuss your treatment plan. You have a total of 2 sessions allotted per month. Additionally, you can have 1 upcoming session already scheduled and on the calendar. If your Prescriber determines that additional sessions are necessary, there will be no extra cost to you. However, without extenuating circumstances as determined by your Prescriber, any request for additional sessions beyond the 2 allotted per month will incur a fee of $25 per session.
Therapists
If monthly therapy is part of your plan, you are eligible for one session per week or a total of five sessions per monthly billing cycle. Additionally, you can have up to 4 upcoming sessions already scheduled and on the calendar.
If you are on a twice a month Therapy plan instead, you are eligible for two sessions per monthly billing cycle and can schedule up to 1 session every 2 weeks.
If you or your Therapist determine that more sessions are needed, there will be a fee of $135 for each additional session.
Care Counselors
Please note that Cerebral no longer offers counseling services to new clients. However, for clients who have previously utilized this service, you are eligible for one session with a Care Counselor per monthly billing cycle. If additional sessions with a counselor are needed, there will be a fee of $30 per session beyond the 1 allotted per month.
